Lord, Jesus Christ, our God, endured the Cross and death, salvation for the sake of the human race, descended into hell, received the third day of burial, trampled death, abolished the devil and Having destroyed the hostility of the mediastinum, accept the prayer of Your humble servants, together with David the psalmist, who cry to You for the peace of Holy Zion, the Throne of the Great King, Mother Churches, Most Glorious Jerusalem.
Peace given to the human race, quench all strife and strife in the Holy Land, pacify the malice of those at war, bless those who are now flowing to Your Life-Receiving Sepulchre, and us, therefore, mentally those who worship, illumine the light of Your Face emanating from this.
With a flame of love our hearts have kindled towards You, Christ God, so that with that we are ignited, with our hearts, minds and souls, and with all our strength, let us love You and our sincere.
For You are our peace, and we send up glory to You, with Your Eternal Father, and Your All-Holy, and Good, and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Pan-Orthodox prayer is aimed at stopping the bloodshed in the Holy Land and countering the threats to which the main Christian shrines are exposed. This international action carries not only a social, but also an important spiritual meaning. It lies in unity, in the simultaneous prayerful coming before God of all the Local Churches that form the Body of Christ. The pan-Orthodox prayer for peace in the Holy Land is usually read on Holy Saturday in the churches of the Russian, Serbian, Greek, Jerusalem and other Local Orthodox Churches.
