Troparion, tone 1

At the First Council, you appeared as a champion and wonderworker,/ to God-bearing Spyridon, our father./ Moreover, you cried out to the dead in the tomb,/ and you turned the serpent into gold,/ and forever I sang holy prayers to you/ You had the angels concelebrating with you, the Most Holy One./ Glory to Him who gave you strength,/ glory to Him who crowned you,// glory to Him who brings healing to all through you.

Kontakion, voice 2

Vulnered by the love of Christ, most sacred,/ your mind fixed on the dawn of the Spirit,/ through your diligent vision you found your deed, O God-accepting,/ the Divine altar became,// asking for the Divine to all radiance.

Prayer 1st

Oh, all-blessed Saint Spyridon, great saint of Christ and glorious miracle worker! Stand in Heaven before the Throne of God with the face of an Angel, look with your merciful eye on the people standing here and asking for your powerful help.

Pray to the compassion of God, the Lover of Mankind, not to judge us according to our iniquities, but to deal with us according to His mercy! Ask us from Christ and our God for a peaceful and serene life, mental and physical health, the earth’s prosperity and all abundance and prosperity in everything, and may we not turn the good things given to us into evil generous God, but for His glory and for the glorification of your intercession!

Deliver all those who come to God through undoubted faith from all spiritual and physical troubles, from all yearnings and the devil’s slander! Be a comforter to the sad, a physician to the sick, a helper in times of adversity, a protector to the naked, a protector to widows, a protector to the poor, a nourisher to the infant, a strengthener to the old, a guide to the wandering, Helmsman afloat and intercede for everyone your strong help that requires everything, even useful for salvation!

Because by your prayers we are instructed and observed, we will reach eternal rest and together with you we will glorify God, in the Trinity of Saints we glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer 2

Hear us sinners, the saint of Christ, praying to you, and through your strong intercession with the Lord, deliver us from every evil situation: from famine, flood, fire and death. ulcers. In your time of life you delivered your people from all these disasters: you saved your country from the invasion of the Hagarians and from famine, you saved the king from an incurable illness and you brought many sinners to repentance, you gloriously raised the dead, and for the holiness of your life you had angels, singing invisibly in the church and serving you you are.

Therefore, Lord Christ, glorify you, your faithful servant, for all the secret human deeds have been granted to you to understand and to expose those who live unrighteously. You have diligently helped many who live in poverty and lack; you have nourished the poor people abundantly during times of famine, and many signs of power are in you. You created the living Spirit of God.

Do not forsake us either, O Saint of Christ, remember us, your children, at the Throne of the Almighty and beg the Lord to grant forgiveness of many of our sins, a comfortable and peaceful life, and grants us a shameless and peaceful death, and eternal bliss in the world to come, so that we send glory and thanksgiving to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Brief life

Memorial Day December 12/25

He had such pure and simple faith that the Lord answered every request without delay. Even during his lifetime he was highly revered for his meekness, hospitality and hard work. At the First Ecumenical Council, he performed a miracle, disgracing Arius - he divided the plinth brick into fire, water and clay, and thereby proved the trinity of the Divinity. They pray to Saint Spyridon in difficulties with housing, in poverty and other everyday troubles, for the gift of simplicity of heart, for the admonition of the lost.
