Prayer 1st

Oh, our good shepherd, the great holy Patriarch Tikhon! Like you have appeared as a city on high: your good deeds still shine before men. We, like you, stand before the Throne of the Holy Trinity, with great boldness in prayers before the Lord. Look now at us, sinners and unworthy of your children, for you, who have great boldness before the Creator of all things, now we fall down and earnestly pray: pray to the Lord, may He give us determination acquire the piety of our fathers, which you have acquired from your youth. In your life you were a zealous defender and guardian of the true faith, help us to unshakably observe the Orthodox faith. Because your quiet soul has greatly succeeded in eating divine humility, teach us to nourish our minds not with the much-rebellious wisdom of man, but with the humble knowledge of the will of God. In the face of the fierce enemies of Christ, you boldly confessed the True God; with your prayer, strengthen us, the faint-hearted, so that we too will always and everywhere resist the spirit of godlessness and flattery. To her, saint of God, do not despise us who pray to you, for we ask not only for deliverance from troubles and sorrows, but for strength and firmness, generosity and love, in order to endure these misfortunes, rising up against us. Ask us for unflagging patience even until the end of our lives, peace with the Lord and remission of sins. Holy Father! Tame the winds of unbelief and unrest in our country, may the Lord bring silence and piety and unhypocritical love to the Russian lands; through your prayers may he preserve her from internecine warfare, may he strengthen our Holy Orthodox Church, may she not become depleted of true shepherds, good workers, those who rightly rule the word gospel truths; God forbid also the lost sheep of the flock of Christ. Most of all, pray to the Lord of Powers that the Russian land will be reborn with holy repentance and with one heart and one mouth glorify the wondrous God in His saints, in the Trinity glorifying the Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 2

Oh, good shepherd, our holy hierarch Tikhon, Patriarch of the Russian Church! You have endured a lot of hard work in your life. Your simplicity and love, your spirit is peaceful and meek, and your word, filled with grace, was according to the heart of the people of our earth, who also offered you to God for a great and arduous deed. When the God-fighters and blasphemers raised a persecution against the Church of Christ, which has no equal since the beginning, the Lord Almighty Himself chose and made you a Patriarch. But you, O saint, crucifying yourself to Christ and His Church, with sorrow you called people to repentance. And who will count your suffering? For you endured prison imprisonment, slander and judgments of persecutors with humility, the enemy of Christ, through prayer and meekness, you resisted the weariness of you and the bishops, presbyters, monks and the worldly You blessed the feat of martyrdom. Moreover, we pray to you, Saint of Christ, be a bold intercessor for us and do not forsake us, your weak child. Ask the Lord for forgiveness of our sins, strengthening of faith, weakening of sorrows, purity of thoughts, and abiding in repentance and prayer, let us adorn ourselves with chastity, love and humility, and so We will achieve the Kingdom of Heaven, where with you we will be honored to glorify the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
