Let us honor Saint Barbara:/ for you crushed the enemy’s snares/ and like a bird got rid of them,// with the help and weapon of the Cross, O all-honorable one.
In the Trinity, piously sung / following God, the passion-bearer, / the idolatrous veneration was dulled, / in the midst of the feat of the sufferer, Varvaro, / the tormentors of reproach were not afraid Thou art, wise and wise, / singing loudly always // I honor the Trinity, one Divinity.
To you, as the source of true speedy healing and many-wonderful healing, holy virgin Varvaro the Great Martyr, I am weak and come running, and diligently falling down, I pray: see the wounds sinful and all-body ulcer, you see the inability of my soul, and this, by your usual mercy and goodness, I am forced to heal, trying. Hear the voice of my prayer, do not despise the groaning that comes from my damned heart, and hear my cry, for you are my refuge. The Holy, Consubstantial and Indivisible Trinity, which You depicted as created by the three windows in the bathhouse of the Fatherland, pray for me, a sinner and impatient, that He may have mercy on me now and on the day of death mine. Pray to the Heavenly Father, that he may raise me, bowed down and cast down by all my sins, to His praise, and cause me to always have the sorrow of having a heart on high, to be wise, and not earthly. Pray to Christ the Son of God, who heard your prayer of suffering in prison, so that I, who am lazy in prayers and in despondency, like sitting in prison, may move towards a quick path He will instruct me in the commandments of God, and may He give me a fervent desire to pray unceasingly. Call upon the Holy Spirit, the purity of the inexhaustible Source, in the ascetic struggle of suffering you strengthened the pure virgin and protected you from the cold nakedness of His wings, just as I, too cold and the unclean, he will create a pure heart, and renew the spirit of rightness in my womb: moreover, may He grant me to strive diligently in living a pure life and strengthen me to do good deeds. I believe that all this is possible for me, O holy Great Martyr Varvaro, to intercede with the Most Holy Trinity: and if you desire, you are mighty to help me, for you have glorified God in your lands suffering. And we know, holy virgin, that nothing is impossible for you, unless you despise my tears and sighs: and to you, my soul abiding in Heaven, bowing, I dare to prayerfully say: let them be Your ears are listening to the voice of my prayer, and may your holy intercession not allow me to die without confession and repentance: for even if in what goodness you are glorified, but in this especially, like everyone else, have hope in you and always call on you for help, you will avoid sudden death, deliver from the worse and less accursed, O pure virgin, to the Great Martyr Varvaro, and by your almighty With your prayers honor me at the right hand of Christ, the Son of God, and hear the voice saying: good servant and faithful, enter into the joy of your Lord. Amen.
The all-wise and all-fair saint of the Great Martyr of Christ Varvaro! Blessed art thou, Christ the Son of God, the Heavenly Bridegroom, the ignorant Virgin, who desireth to have His kindness as a Caregiver, all through suffering, wounds, the pleasure of cutting and the very You tried to decorate your heads with truncation, like the creatures’ dearest ones: so, like a wife, she is faithful to her head - her husband, united inseparably with Christ in spirit and body, saying: I have found Him, whom my soul loved; I held Him and did not forsake Him. Blessed are you, for the Holy Spirit has rested upon you, and you have been taught spiritual reasoning by the spiritual; you have rejected all the spirits of wickedness in idols, as if they were destructive. Having known the spirit, like a true worshiper, you deigned to bow down in spirit and truth, preaching: “I honor the Trinity, One Divinity.” You glorified this Holy Trinity, even in life and death with your confession and suffering, begging for me, my representative, as I have always been of the triple faith, love and hope I honor the Holy Trinity with virtue. The Imam is the lamp of faith, but the oil of good deeds is vain: you, wise virgin, thy suffering flesh, filled with blood and shed with wounds, like a lamp that hath, give of thy oil, yes Having thus adorned my soul, I will be counted worthy for you in the Heavenly Palace. I am a sojourner on earth and a stranger, like all my fathers; eternal blessings to the heir and blessed supper in the Kingdom of Heaven to the partaker, as in the journey of life, the Meal of Divine pleasure, and in the exodus from the world of the desired grace my parting words; and when at the end of the sleep of death I begin to fall asleep, then touching my exhausted flesh, like sometimes the Angel of Elijah, saying: arise, eat and drink: for the grace of the Divine The Body and Blood of the Mysteries is fortified in the fortress of Yadi, the long path of death, even to the Mountain of Heaven: and there, through the three windows of the bath, you first saw the Trinity of God by faith Thou art, Who is with thee face to face, that I may be worthy to see and glorify Him unto endless ages. Amen.
