Troparion, tone 41

You have prayed for those who have been crucified, O Lord of love, / and commanded Your servants to pray for everyone, / forgive those who hate and offend us, / and from all evil and wickedness towards brotherly love and Instruct a virtuous life,/ we humbly offer a prayer to You,/ and in unanimity we glorify Thee,// The only Lover of mankind.

Kontakion, tone 5

Like Your first martyr Stephen, / for those who kill him, we pray to Thee, O Lord, / and we desperately pray: / forgive those who hate everyone and offend us, / not even one of them will perish for our sake, / but Let everyone be saved by Your grace, // All-Bountiful God.

Prayer before the icon of the Mother of God “Softening Evil Hearts”

Oh, long-suffering Mother of God, who surpassed all the daughters of the earth, in Her purity and in the multitude of sufferings You transferred to the earth, accept our much-painful sighs and keep us under Your roof mercy. Do You not know any other refuge and warm intercession, but since You have boldness in the One born of You, help and save us with Your prayers, so that we may reach without stumbling The Kingdom of Heaven, where together with all the saints we will sing praises in the Trinity to the One God, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
