Psalm 7

Lord my God, in Thee I trust, save me from all those who persecute me and deliver me: lest when a lion snatches away my soul, I am not the one who delivers, but the one who saves. Lord my God, if I have done this, if wickedness is in my hand, if I have rewarded those who repay evil, let me depart from my enemies: let him marry the enemy will destroy my soul and trample my life into the ground and place my glory in dust. Arise, O Lord, by Thy wrath, exalt Thy enemies to the end, and arise, O Lord my God, by the commandment which Thou hast commanded, and a host of people shall surround Thee: and about this, go to the heights. The Lord judges people: judge me, Lord, according to my righteousness and according to my kindness toward me. May the malice of sinners end, and correct the righteous, test hearts and wombs, O God, righteous. My help comes from God, who saves those who are right in heart. God the judge is righteous, and strong, and long-suffering, and does not bring wrath every day. If you do not turn, he will cleanse his weapon, he will make his bow ready, and in it he will prepare the vessels of death, making his arrows burnt up. Behold, through unrighteousness, disease will conceive and give birth to iniquity: a pit of pits and fossils, and it will fall into the pit that it has made. His illness will turn on his head, and unrighteousness will come down on his head. Let us confess to the Lord according to his righteousness and sing to the name of the Lord most high.

Psalm 51

Why do you boast in anger, more strongly? iniquity all the day long, thy tongue hath devised iniquity: as thou hast made flattery, a cunning razor. Thou hast loved malice more than kindness, untruth rather than speaking truth: thou hast loved all the words of the flood, the tongue of flattery. For this reason God will destroy you completely: He will make you rapture, and will remove you from your village and your root from the land of the living. They will see righteousness and fear, and they will laugh at him and say: Behold, man, who did not make God his helper, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and in his vanity. And I am like an olive tree that bears fruit in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. I will confess to You forever, as You have done: and I endure Your name, for it is good in the sight of Your saints.

Prayer before the icon of the Mother of God “Three-handed”2

Oh, Most Holy and Most Blessed Virgin Mary! We fall and bow to You before Your holy three-handed icon, remembering Your glorious miracle by healing the truncated right hand of the righteous John of Damascus, which was revealed from the icon, His sign is still visible on her, in the form of a third hand, attached to Your image. We pray to Thee and ask Thee, the All-merciful and All-generous Intercessor of our race: hear us praying to Thee, and like blessed John, who cried out to Thee in sorrow and illness, You have heard, so do not despise us, who grieve and suffer with the wounds of many different passions and who diligently come running to You from the heart, contrite and humble. You see, O All-Merciful Lady, our infirmities, our embitterment, our need, I will require your help and intercession, as we are surrounded by enemies from everywhere, and there is no one to help, below the intercessor, if not You would have mercy on us, Lady. To her, we pray to You, listen to our painful voice and help us to preserve the patristic Orthodox faith immaculately until the end of our days, to walk unswervingly in all the commandments of the Lord, true repentance about Always bring our sins to God and be honored with a peaceful Christian death and a good answer at the Last Judgment of Your Son and our God, Whom we implore for us with the Mother’s Prayer May He not condemn us according to our iniquity, but may He have mercy on us according to His greatness and ineffable mercy. Oh, All-Good One! Hear us and do not deprive us of Thy sovereign help, yes, having received salvation through You, we will sing and glorify You on the land of the living and our Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, who was born of You, To him belongs glory and power, honor and worship, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, always, now, and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer before the icon of the Mother of God “Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary”

Oh, Most Holy Virgin, Mother of the Lord of the highest powers, Heaven and earth Queen, our city and country, Almighty Intercessor! Accept this praiseful song of thanksgiving from us, Thy unworthy servants, and lift up our prayers to the Throne of God Thy Son, that He may be merciful to our unrighteousness, and may He add grace Those who honor Your all-honorable name and with faith and love worship Your miraculous image. For we are not worthy of mercy from Him, unless You propitiate Him for us, O Lady, for all things are possible for You from Him. For this reason we resort to You, as to our undoubted and speedy Intercessor: hear us praying to You, overshadow us with Your all-powerful protection, and ask God Your Son: our shepherd is zeal and vigilance for souls, the ruler of wisdom and strength, the judge of truth and impartiality, the mentor of reason and humility, the husband of love and harmony, the child obedience, patience to those who are offended, fear of God to those who are offended, complacency to those who mourn, self-control to those who rejoice; to all of us the spirit of reason and piety, the spirit of mercy and meekness, the spirit of purity and truth. To her, Most Holy Lady, have mercy on Your weak people; Gather the scattered, guide those who have gone astray on the right path, support old age, bring up the young with chastity, raise the infants, and look upon us all with the gaze of your merciful intercession, raise us up from the depths sinners and enlighten the eyes of our hearts to the sight of salvation, be merciful to us here and there, in the land of earthly arrival and at the terrible judgment of Your Son; Having ceased in faith and repentance from this life, our fathers and brothers created eternal life with the Angels and with all the saints. For you are, Lady, the Glory of Heaven and the Hope of the earth, You, according to God, are our Hope and Intercessor of all who flow to You with faith. We pray to You, and to You, as the Almighty Helper, we commit ourselves and each other and our whole life, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

St. Ephraim the Syrian

Oh, saint of Christ, our Father Ephraim! Bring our prayer to the merciful and all-powerful God and ask us, the servants of God (names), from His goodness all that is for the benefit of our souls and bodies, right faith, hope without doubt, unfeigned love, meekness and kindness, courage in temptation, patience in suffering, prosperity in piety, so that we do not turn the gifts of the All-Good God into evil. Do not forget, O miracle-working saint, this holy temple (house) and our parish: preserve and preserve them with your prayers from all evil. To her, Holy One of God, grant us a good end and the Kingdom of Heaven to inherit, so that we may glorify the wondrous God in His saints, to Him belongs all glory, honor and power, forever and ever. Amen.
