Oh, my Most Holy Lady, Virgin Mary, Hodegetria, patroness and hope of my salvation! Behold, on the journey that lies ahead for me, now I want to leave and for this time I entrust to You, my most merciful Mother, my soul and body, all my mental and material powers, everything to myself trusting in Your strong supervision and Your all-powerful help. Oh, my good companion and protector! I earnestly pray to Thee, that this path of mine may not creep, guide me on it, and direct it, All-Holy Hodegetria, as Weigh Itself, to the glory of Thy Son, my Lord Jesus Christ. Be my Helper in everything, especially in this long and laborious journey, keep me under Your sovereign protection from all troubles and sorrows that may arise, from enemies visible and invisible, and pray for me, My lady, may Your Son Christ our God send His peaceful Angel, faithful mentor and guardian, to help me, even as He of old gave food to His servant Tobiah Raphael, in every place and at all times, keeping him on the road from all evil: so he will guide my path safely and preserve me by Heavenly power - let him return me to health, peace and entirely to my dwelling, for the glory of His holy name, glorifying and blessing Him all the days of my life and magnifying You now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Oh, Most Wonderful and Above All Creatures, Queen Theotokos, Mother of the Heavenly King Christ our God, Most Pure Hodegetria Mary! Hear us sinners and unworthy at this hour, praying and falling before Your Most Pure Image with tears and tenderly saying: deliver us from the pit of passions, Lady Offering us, deliver us from all sorrow and sorrow, protect us from all misfortune and evil slander, and from the unjust and cruel slander of the enemy. Thou mayest, O our Blessed Mother, save Thy people from all evil and provide and save Thy people with all good deeds; Are there other Representatives for You in troubles and circumstances, and warm Intercessors for us sinners, not imams?
