Lord, grant Your peace to Your people. Lord, grant to Your servants Your Holy Spirit, so that He will warm their hearts with Your love and guide them into all truth and goodness. Lord our God, Lord of life and death, Creator of heaven and earth, accept our gratitude for all the good gifts that You have given us at this time. You have given us and are constantly granting us what no one else could give: health, an abundance of earthly fruits and everything else that is necessary for our existence on earth. With Your Holy Spirit You inspire and confirm the right faith, illuminate hope, kindle love, have mercy with mercy, enlighten and sanctify the souls of Your people. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you! For this peace, for this heavenly gift, which is in Your hand and can only come from You, we kneel before You. We know, our Creator, we know that we do not deserve it and are unworthy of this gift, but we place our hope in Your immeasurable mercy and repentantly pray to You alone: “Give it to us, grant peace to all Your faithful throughout the world, so that we may not perish completely.” Lord, the sea of human life is now indignant and boiling as never before. Confusion reigned coupled with horror in the hearts of people. Brother took up arms and rebelled against brother, neighbor against neighbor, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.
And now the human race stands on the eve of a new war, a new Cain’s sin, a new Judas’ betrayal - that war in which all Your commandments will be trampled upon, Your holy name will be blasphemed, Your sacrifice will be ridiculed and Your holy love for us sinners will become an object of contempt. O Almighty Almighty, extend Your irresistible right hand and do not allow this, do not allow this, prevent this with Your strength and goodness. Just as You once calmed the Sea of Galilee and with Your almighty word calmed the winds, instilling peace and joy in the souls of Your disciples, so now calm the storm in the souls of Your people and nations, so that instead of the fear of war, the joy of peace may shine in them. Save, O Lord, Your chosen ones from shame before the pagans. Keep Your baptized people and Your peoples from Satan's mockery of Your creatures. Have mercy, at least, on Your holy Angels and do not allow them to look in sorrow again at the godless deeds of the Christian peoples. Have mercy on Your saints and righteous people and do not allow them to lower their eyes before Your heavenly throne, ashamed of their relatives and descendants here on the sinful earth.
Therefore, for the sake of Your Angels and the saints and righteous in heaven - more than for our sake - have mercy on us, O Most Merciful. And for the sake of the love of Your Most Holy Mother, the Mother of God, for You, Lord Jesus Christ, and for Your Church on earth, Your vineyard and planting, restrain our hands from crimes and save us from ourselves.
