Interpretations of Psalm 40:
Finally, a psalm to David.
Blessed is he who is poor and wretched; on the day of cruelty the Lord will deliver him. May the Lord preserve him and live him, and may he bless him on earth, and may he not deliver him into the hands of his enemies. May the Lord help him on the bed of his illness: you have turned all his lies into his illness. Az reh: Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned. My enemies have decided evil against me: when will his name die and perish? And when he came in, he saw that he spoke his heart in vain, he gathered up iniquity for himself, and he went out and spoke his heart together. All my enemies whisper against me, and think evil against me. You put the word of transgression on me: food and sleep will not cause you to rise again? For the man of my world, in whom I trusted, eater of my bread, bring stumbling upon me. But you, Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up and repay them. In this knowledge, because you have desired me, because my enemy will not rejoice over me. For my kindness you accepted me and established me before You forever. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: be, be.
In the end, for the rest of the world, the Blessed One will spare him from poverty and God, on the day of cruelty and will deliver him. Let us keep him and let him live, and let him live on earth and let him not betray him to his enemies. є҆гѡ̀. Where will he help with his illness: everything lies with him in his illness. A҆́зьрѣхъ: whereⷭ҇i, have mercy on me, and heal my dꙋ́shꙋ, ꙗ҆́kѡ sins. This is my decision: when he dies, he dies; And as you enter, you see, all the verbs of the heart are: gather the lawless to yourself, and go out and in the verb in the same way. In my whispers, everything is mine, in my thoughts, the glory of me. Place the word unlawful on the world: And sleep will not apply to resurrection; And the man of my world, who is not the one who eats my bread, exalts the stumbling upon me. You, where you are, have mercy on me and restore me, and I will repay them. In this knowledge, my enemy will not return to me. Less for the sake of grace, and I have affirmed me before you forever.
