She who was first without childbearing, rejoiced,/ behold, thou hast conceived a lamp of the sun,/ to enlighten the whole world, which is afflicted with blindness./ Rejoice, Zechariah, crying out with boldness: // a prophet of the Most High is about to be born.
Prophet and Forerunner of the coming of Christ, / we are worthy to praise you, we are perplexed, who honor you with love: / for the barrenness of the birth and the father’s voicelessness were resolved / by your glorious and honest Christmas, // and the incarnation of the Son of God is preached to the world.

We magnify you, the Forerunner of the Savior, John, and honor your glorious birth even from the barren one.
The memory of the righteous with praise,/ but the testimony of the Lord, the Forerunner, is sufficient for you:/ for you have shown that you are truly more honorable than the prophets,/ that even in the streams of baptism you were worthy Preached./ Moreover, having suffered for the truth, rejoicing,/ you preached the gospel to those in hell of the God who is manifest in the flesh,/ who takes away the sin of the world,// and gives us great mercy.

Having risen from the earth, the Forerunner's head,/ emits rays of incorruption, healing to the faithful,/ from above gathers a multitude of angels,/ and then convenes the human race,// unanimously send glory Christ God.

Even as an angel in the flesh, / and the captain of the testimonies of the prophets, glorious Elisha, / you have done wondrous miracles, prophet, / by the haste of the Holy Spirit; / by the power of Elijah, you have healed watery nature,/ destroy the devouring beasts,/ and cleanse Naaman,/ and you raised up the widow’s son,// and grant grace and healing to all who honor you.

You were clothed with the garments of priesthood, O wisdom, / according to the law of God, you offered burnt offerings in a sacred manner, Zechariah, / and you were a lamp and a spectator of secret things, / signs of grace in you bearing it clearly to all eyes,/ and being killed with a sword in the temple of God,/ the prophet of Christ, with the Forerunner, prayed,// that our souls may be saved.

Prophet of God Ezekiel, / foreseeing the gates closed by the Spirit / and the Carpenter, in the outcome of these, the only one who spoke to God, / Him we pray, we pray, / may he open the door of mercy His // and will save the souls of those who piously sing to your memory.

In the flesh, an Angel,/ the foundation of the prophets,/ the second Forerunner of the coming of Christ, Elijah the glorious,/ sending grace to Elisha from above,/ to drive away illnesses/ and cleanse lepers,// also He brings healing to those who worship him.

We magnify you,/ holy, glorious prophet of God Elijah,/ and honor you as you ascend to Heaven/ in a chariot of fire,// your glorious ascent.

Foretold of God's coming in the flesh/ and the influx of the Holy Spirit and the coming Judgment,/ prophesied to Joel:/ save with your prayers// those who honor you from all sorrows.

You have ascended to the heights of virtues, prophet Moses;/ and for this reason you have been vouchsafed to see the glory of God./ The tablets of the gracious Law are received,/ and the marks of grace are within you. wearing,/ and you were an honest praise of the prophets,// and a great sacrament of piety.

Begged from your mother, the same name is the gift of God, / from God the title was granted in infancy, / honorable prophet Samuel, / kindly shepherded the disobedient people / and appeared as king organizer,/ and for us, who faithfully honor you, pray to the True God, // may he save our souls.
